Installation Body Paint can be run on the three major operating systems - Windows, MacOS, and Linux. The installation process is broadly the same for each operating system, however specific installation instructions are detailed here.
Windows Radiation Analytics is a verified software publisher for the purposes of distributing software for use on the Windows operating system. When you run the Body Paint installer for the first time, you should will be prompted with a security screen that will feature the Radiation Analytics company name.

Brightness and Contrast The brightness and constrast controls allow you to boost the colour in the scene. This is especially useful if you have a lot of transparent material against a black or white background.
Cropping When you crop the data in the general settings area, data is cut away for all points. It is a global crop. You can also highlight the cropping slider and use the arrow keys to step through your data.

Appearance Options When you have isolated a part of the anatomy that you are interested in, appearance options can be applied to this data. You can set the colour, opacity (transparency), and the visibility of the data. The switch at the top right of each panel controls the visibility of this paint.
Threshold and Gradient Use the threshold and gradient controls to isolate the parts the anatomy that you are most interested in.

Export Settings From the main menu, click on Export Image, to save a screen shot of the current scene. In the dialog box you can choose the size of the image you wish to save, as well as set the background colour.
Various appearance options can be set on the preferences tab, including the default background colour and 3D viewer projection. It is also possible to set the default pallet to load when first running Body Paint, and setting the user interface zoom level.
Default Palette The default palette is the palette of paints loaded when you first open a DICOM CT dataset in Body Paint. You can choose between the default, empty or custom palettes.
