Installation

Contour Exporter can be run on the three major operating systems - Windows, MacOS, and Linux. The installation process is broadly the same for each operating system, however specific installation instructions are detailed here.

Windows

Radiation Analytics is a verified software publisher for the purposes of distributing software for use on the Windows operating system. When you run the Contour Exporter installer for the first time, you should will be prompted with a security screen that will feature the Radiation Analytics company name. Any installers that do not incorporate Radiation Analytics digital signatures are non-genuine. Double click on the installer to run it, and follow the prompts.

MacOS

A PKG, or package installer is provided for installing Contour Exporter on MacOS. Once you have downloaded the installer, double click on it to run through the installation process.

Linux

On Linux, Contour Exporter is distributed as an AppImage. Certain distributions will prompt you to install the image on the first run, otherwise feel free to move the binary to a location of your choosing. Make sure that the image is executable by running chmod -x "Contour Exporter <version>.AppImage" from the command line, or adjust this setting using your file manager by right clicking on the executable, and modify the appropriate permissions.

Activation

This section describes how to activate your copy of Contour Exporter.

The EULA

When you run Contour Exporter for the first time, you will be asked to accept the end user license agreement (EULA). This is the same agreement that you agreed to before downloading your copy of Contour Exporter. If you choose not to accept the license agreement, Contour Exporter will close.

License Key

After accepting the license agreement, you will be asked to enter in a valid licence key and associated email address. If you are just trying Contour Exporter out for testing purposes, you can carry on to the Demo Mode. Once activated, you will have access to the full range of features available in Contour Exporter, including loading and saving new projects.

Demo Mode

In the demo mode, various featues are limited, including the number of shapes and volumes that can be used in your project. You can activate your copy of Contour Exporter at any time with a valid licence key simply by restarting the program, or clicking on the Activate button in the top right corner of the window. In demo mode a watermark is present overlayed on the 3D viewer.

Deactivation

You can deactivate you copy of Contour Exporter at any time for the purposes of transferring to another computer. When you first start Contour Exporter, click on the License button at the top left of the main screen. In the licence dialog there is an option for deactivating this installation. You will be sent a code to your nominated email address to complete this operation.
